How do I create an account?
You can create an account either on the website or on the client application. To create an account on the
website go to
http://www.itookthisonmyphone.com/join.aspx on your pc
and follow the steps. To create an account on the device, click on the icon for our application. Then on the
Login screen click on the Sign Up button. Enter the username you would like to use to access your account as
well as your email and a password. Then click Submit and your account will be created and you will be logged in.
How do I upload photos?
Make sure you are logged into our application with your username and password. Then launch the camera and take a
picture. After the picture is taken it will be automatically uploaded to your personal photo gallery without any
interaction from you. If you would like to decide whether or not a photo should be uploaded, then check the option
"Ask for confirmation before uploading" in the settings.
What does "Ask for confirmation before uploading" mean?
If this option is checked then when a picture is taken instead of the photo being uploaded automatically, you will
be prompted with a screen that allows you to decide if you want to upload the photo as well as letting you add
a title or select an album. This screen displays the photo that was just taken and at the bottom it has a
textbox for adding a title and a dropdown for selecting an album to add this photo to. In the menu there is also
an option for rotating the photo or displaying fullscreen (without the textbox). When you are finished making any
changes you can press the send key (green phone button) to upload it. Or if you wish not to upload the photo, you
can press the end key (red phone button).
What does "Delete photos from phone after they are uploaded" mean?
If this option is checked then after a photo has been uploaded successfully it will be deleted from the device
memory. This way you will not have to worry about running out of space on your device. And if you ever want a
photo back on your device, you can download it from the website to your phone.
What does "Send the GPS location of your photos" mean?
If this option is checked then the application will try to get a fix on your current location when a photo is
taken and will send the coordinates with the photo. Then when you view the photo on your pc it will display
a map next to the photo of where it was taken. Note that GPS coordinates can not always be attained and GPS is
not currently supported on Verizon devices.
I receive a "Permission Denied" error message, how do I change the permissions?
To use certain functions on the BlackBerry the user must grant the application permission. If the permissions
have been accidentally disallowed they can be changed by doing the following:
Go to Settings->Options->Advanced Options->Applications->iTookThisOnMyPhone. Press the menu
key(left of the trackball) and select "Edit Permissions". On this screen make sure that User Data->Files is
set to allow and Interactions->Media Access is set to allow if it exists. Then select "Reset Firewall Prompts".
If you are prompted for approval again, make sure to select allow.
